Thomas Sobocinski has been a grant writer for 25 years. His work has supported social services and educational and workforce training programs for under-served populations. 

Tom is a graduate of Fairfield University. He has a BA in Sociology and an MA in Corporate and Political Communication. Currently, he teaches an undergraduate course, Grants and Proposal Writing, and a graduate course, Grant Writing and Fund Raising, at Fairfield University. Tom has supervised numerous student interns.

He works with Fairfield University's Center for Social Impact, which is "committed to solidarity and collaboration with people who are marginalized." In 2017, Tom received the Faculty Community Engagement award. His experience encompasses academic-community partnerships.
